Valérie Messika presents her high jewelry collection Messika in Paris this week. The “Paris est une Fête” collection was inspired by the vibrancy of Paris in the 1920s. “Ten years was all it took to disrupt and revolutionize a woman’s place in society from 1919 to 1929. These years of excess turned Paris into the world capital of creativity. Dance, painting, haute couture…this heritage continues to feed into my new high jewelry creations” said Messika.
Pieces include necklaces like “Man Ray,” “Madeleine,” “Zelda,” and “Roaring Diamonds;” and earcuffs like the “Peacock” and “Isadora.” “Along with the expertise, cutting, precision and skill of the master setters, hundreds of hours of work were required to align and bring out the same vivacity in each of these stones,” said Messika.
