Parmigiani Fleurier has partnered with the Montreux Jazz Festival for over a decade, connecting the worlds of watchmaking and music.
“Music is like watchmaking: it exists whenever a tempo is set – it becomes sublime only when we devote our heart and soul to it,” said founder Michel Parmigiani.
For this year’s festival (taking place in Montreux on Lake Geneva in Switzerland now through Jul y 15) Parmigiani Fleurier created a Tonda Métrographe MJF special edition. The design of the timepiece uses the black and white themes of the 2017 poster, designed by French graphic designer, Malika Favre. The watch features a white date window against a black dial, and an elegant black strap with white topstitching.
The 51st Montreux Jazz Festival includes performances by Lauryn Hill, Pet Shop Boys, Grace Jones, Macy Gray, Erykah Badu, London Grammar, Youssou N’Dour, Tom Jones and more.
