Prime Set: Art Should Feel Like Falling in Love

On Thursday, December 11, a new collective of artists, musicians, and creatives headed by Justin Stewart, Chandler Craig, and Allison Barker and dubbed Prime Set, held an event at the W Hotel Union Square’s Studio space. Over 150 people came together to enjoy live music, a pop-up exhibition, and dancing to music from Prime Set Djs.

The recently opened Studio space at the W offered the perfect setting for the evening of music and friends. Curated by artist Domingo Zapata and Scott Gerber, the walls feature an Alice in Wonderland-inspired mural by Zapata.

Prime Set is based in Bushwick, Brooklyn, and aims to foster interdisciplinary artistic collaborations. “We believe interacting with art should feel like falling in love, and the world needs way, way more people making that a reality,” the group said in a recent statement.
