“The Rainbow Project” and New Work from Cory Arcangel Commissioned by Louis Vuitton

This spring Louis Vuitton unveiled “The Rainbow Project” across storefronts in Milan, Paris, Rome, Madrid, Frankfurt, Toronto, and now New York on Fifth Avenue.

The fashion house asked employees and their children to create artwork for their windows in each city. They were asked to draw their own version of a rainbow as a way of welcoming hope, lightness, and joy after this past couple of months and as we enter into summer.

Each display is unique, featuring local contributions made into stickers or digitally shown through animated screens. The colorful works will be up through the month around the world in select stores.

Additionally, Louis Vuitton partnered with artist Cory Arcangel to create a special series to be featured in The New York Times’ “Sunday Styles” section on June 14 (Sunrise) and June 21 (Sunset), as well as in stores in Manhattan and Los Angeles.
