Rémy Martin Celebrates National Cognac Day

Over the weekend on June 4, cognac lovers around the world toasted to National Cognac Day. Sunday was a day of celebration for many brown spirit brands, including Rémy Martin, who celebrated to its special flavor profile a bit early with a celebratory all-day affair last month. Ahead of the national holiday, the brand hosted a gathering at brand ambassador Chef Marc Forgione’s first eponymous restaurant downtown. The all-day affair kicked off that morning with a fleet of sidecars filled with special guests traveling around New York City. That afternoon, the candlelit farm-to-table establishment was lined with fine bottles of Rémy Martin’s prized cognac, and guests of the brand indulged in various spins on the iconic Sidecar cocktail for major cities in the U.S., such as Dusk To Dawn (available at Employees Only in NYC), #ThatsWhatILike (available at the Bassment in Chicago), and The Outfit (available at Bar Clacson in Los Angeles).

“I’m going to keep this short and sweet because I know we want to listen to the music and drink some more Rémy, but I just want to say thank you so much to everyone for coming,” said Forgione. “Have fun tonight, and salud!”

Over music by DJ Kitty Cash, guests like Joseph Sikora, Vashtie, Shanina Shaik, and Shantell Martin enjoyed bites like burger sliders, steak on toast, chili lobster skewers, hiramsa spoons, and more, before savoring warm cookies and cold milk for dessert. With one last dram half full of cognac, the crowd cheered, “Santé!”
