The IAAF World Championships will take place August 4-13 in London. There, Richard Mille will debut new RM 67-02 timepieces to mark the occasion and its relationship with participating athletes Yohan Blake, Wayde Van Niekerk, and Mutaz Essa Barshim. At the Olympic stadium in London, Blake will wear his RM 59-01 Tourbillon Yohan Blake, while Van Niekerk and Barshim will debut the RM 67-02 Sprint and RM 67-02 High Jump respectively.
Barshim’s timepiece is the color crimson, to represent his nation of Qatar. Yellow and green are used in the 67-02 Sprint for Van Niekerk’s native South Africa. To keep things sporty, Richard Mille created a timepiece of just 32 grams, making the RM 67-02 the lightest automatic watch of the watchmaker’s collection. The case is made of Carbon TPT and Quartz TPT, materials possessing exceptional shock resistance. The watches have a guaranteed continuous performance for 50 hours, and will be available at Richard Mille retailers worldwide.
