Saint Laurent and Memphis Milano Debut Colorful Collection

Saint Laurent recently announced the debut of a collaboration with Memphis Milano, headed by the house’s Creative Director Anthony Vaccarello. The project includes an exhibition at the Saint Laurent Rive Droite boutiques in Los Angeles and Paris open through June 23, where visitors will find an installation highlighting homeware, a selection of rare books, and a presentation on the history of the acclaimed design group. The house also introduced an accompanying capsule collection for the occasion.

Inspired by the playful, colorful, graphic universe synonymous with Memphis Milano, Vaccarello has activated the Rive Droite spaces with a presentation highlighting some of the design house’s most iconic creations. Including an array of pieces like ashtrays, vases, plates, glasses, and textile accessories in the signature Memphis aesthetic, viewers should look out for works like Masanori Umeda’s RING bed design, the RIVIERA chairs by Michele De Lucchi, and Ettore Sottsass’s CARLTON room divider.

Also available in the boutiques and online, Saint Laurent’s special Memphis Milano capsule features wearable pieces utilizing bright hues of color blocking and patterns favored by the design house—seen across two printed dresses, a button-up shirt, two styles of sneakers, and hoodies available in two colorways.
