Most recently, Hôtel Plaza Athénée unveiled 49 renovated rooms and suites, including the Royal Suite. Imagined by the French interior design firm Moinard Bétaille, the style has retained the 18th-century style of the property, yet has been updated with a contemporary touch. The project marks the continuation of a partnership between the hotel and Bruno Moinard and Claire Bétaille of the firm, who also oversaw the design of many other spaces within the hotel, including the Lobby, The Gallery, La Cour Jardin, and Le Relais Plaza.

The hotel’s street-facing terrace, La Terrasse Montaigne, is also open for the summer season. With remarkable view of the Eiffel Tower, the restaurant features a seafood-focused menu—including dishes such like tuna tartare, lobster spaghetti, and curry-spiced trout salad—which can be enjoyed daily on the terrace.

Also at the hotel, Chef Jean Imbert is reshaping the narrative of haute cuisine, marking a return to grandeur within several spaces: Jean Imbert au Plaza Athénée, an opulent Versailles-style dining room; La Cour Jardin, the hotel’s iconic outdoor courtyard; and Le Relais Plaza, an Art Deco restaurant with a classic Parisian brasserie feel. In each, unforgettable bites inspired by France’s rich culinary history, travel, and Imbert’s own memories unfold.

For the summer season, Imbert unveiled a menu that paid tribute to Brittany—a region close to his heart and one he’s spent a lifetime visiting. Available through September 14 at Le Cour Jardin, guests are treated to dishes that reflect the richness of the Breton terroir, including grilled John Dory fish, crab toast, artichoke carpaccio, buckwheat crêpes, and even tableside-flambéd lobster.†
