On the eve of New York Fashion Week, Veuve Clicquot and Simon Porte Jacquemus reimagined the Central Park Boathouse for Le Pique-Nique Sur L’Eau—a whimsical evening of champagne, performance, and fashion’s leading lights. Julia Roberts, Solange Knowles, Imaan Hammam, and Emma Roberts joined Jacquemus for a lakeside concert, the first in nearly 90 years, before dining under champagne–yellow awnings. The night celebrated the fashion designer’s reinterpretation of La Grande Dame 2018, honoring Madame Clicquot and the Jacquemus designer’s late mother, and continues across New York Fashion Week through September 14.
W New York Union Square Reopens

W New York Union Square reopened in dazzling style with a $100 million transformation by Rockwell Group, unveiling a full room-to-rooftop reinvention that cements its place as a cultural landmark for the next era of W Hotels. VIPs gathered for an elegant dinner at Seahorse, restaurateur John McDonald’s new modern seafood restaurant and raw bar, before a lively cocktail party in the Living Room, a soaring, early 20th-century–inspired space where Toro y Moi and Desiree set the tone. Sabyasachi marked his 25th anniversary with a glittering celebration at its West Village flagship, where guests sipped Dom Pérignon while exploring the new collection amid towers of lobster and king crab, caviar tastings, and decadent desserts. The collection itself was a masterclass in contrasts, embroidered tweed illusions, velvet layered with faux fur, Japanese cotton set against pashmina and ostrich leather, each look layered with cultural references and personal storytelling, from Frida Kahlo to Madonna. Balmain celebrated its 80th anniversary at Printemps New York with an intimate cocktail gathering in the Boudoir, where Creative Director Olivier Rousteing welcomed guests to an exhibition honoring the maison’s legacy. Guests enjoyed curated bites and cocktails by Culinary Director Gregory Gourdet while mingling among fashion’s elite. Nili Lotan took over the legendary Café Carlyle to debut her Fall 2025 campaign with an electrifying live performance by The Kills, Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince, who also star in the collection’s launch. Guests, including Maggie Rogers, Laura Prepon, and Beck, gathered to toast the unveiling, which spotlights 16 handbag silhouettes named after musical icons like the Jagger, Keith, and Francoise. Miu Miu Beauty at The Twenty Two for New York Fashion Week

Miu Miu Beauty threw open the doors at Café Zaffri at The Twenty Two this past Friday for the unveiling of its new fragrance, Miutine, in an event dubbed the Miutine Club. VIPs floated in under soft lighting, greeted by gardenia notes tempered with patchouli and vanilla, “a gourmet cheekiness” as Miu Miu calls it. Attendees including Chloë Sevigny, Paloma Elsesser, Emma Chamberlain, Lola Tung, Demi Singleton, and Ziwe embraced back-to-school-inspired looks, pleated skirts, leather slingbacks with buckles, layering and plaid galore, to match the playful contradictions of the scent. The evening peaked with a surprise performance by Maggie Rogers, whose vocals cast a spell over the room.

Valentino Beauty brought the legendary Studio 54 back to life for one dazzling night during New York Fashion Week, transforming the iconic club into a living stage of glamour and audacity for the debut of the Born in Roma 2025 Rendez-Vous Ivory Collection. The venue pulsed with theatrical performances, Violet Chachki’s aerial act, Rollerena-inspired dancers, and cigarette girls weaving through the crowd, set to an electric soundtrack from Nicky Siano, Honey Dijon, and The Dare. Cher, Maripol, and Pat Cleveland, original Studio 54 icons, mingled with Valentino’s new guard including Brand Ambassador Colman Domingo, Adut Akech, and Nana, alongside starry guests Lenny Kravitz, FKA Twigs, Tessa Thompson, Sophie Thatcher, Christopher Briney, Jemima Kirke, Lourdes Leon, and Rowan Blanchard.
