Storm King Art Center Gala & Auction at the Rainbow Room Honors Maya Lin

Last Tuesday, October 18, the Storm King Art Center held its seventh annual gala and live auction at the fabulous Rainbow Room in New York. The night honored Maya Lin and trustees Cynthia Hazen Polsky and Nicholas A. Polsky.

Guests for the night—which went from cocktails, to dinner, to the main auction—included Henry Arnhold, Alice Aycock, Daniel and Estrellita Brodsky, Thomas Campbell, Michael Manjarris, Martin Puryear, Ursula von Rydingsvard, Dame Jillian Sackler, Doug & Mike Starn, Mark di Suvero, and Sarah Sze.

David Redden, former Vice Chairman at Sotheby’s, conducted the live auction which saw works by Aycock, Dennis Oppenheim, George Rickey, von Rydingsvard, Richard Serra, di Suvero, and Zhang Huan.
