Last Wednesday, Swarovski celebrated Brazilian architect Guilherme Torres’ long-awaited installation, “Mangue Groove” for Swarovski Crystal Palace at Design Miami/. Two hundred guests dined and enjoyed Perrier Jouet champagne in his honor at Soho Beach House, with an evening hosted by Nadja Swarovski and a soundtrack spun through the night by DJ Alex Merrel.
Torres created an Amazonian mangrove-inspired installation composed of Swarovski crystals, wood, water, and sound. The piece comes to life each evening with the ambiance of light and music. Torres’ work used lead-free crystals and was inspired by a cause near and dear to him, conserving natural resources.
The private dinner on the beach brought together the likes of Tommy Hilfiger, Iwona Blazwick, Matthu Placek, Michaela de Pury, Glenda Bailey, Amanda Hearst, Karolina Kurkova, and many, many more to celebrate.
