The Bass Celebrates a Night at the Museum

A parade of spirited museum members were in attendance, connecting with beloved local luminaries and basking in singular activations, a silent auction, gastronomical experiences, and live entertainment.

In Miami Beach last week, The Bass Museum of Art rejoiced in its dynamic creative community with Night at the Museum: Artist EXTRAvaganza. A parade of spirited museum members were in attendance, connecting with beloved local luminaries and basking in singular activations, a silent auction, gastronomical experiences, and live entertainment. Energized by current showcases at the premier museum, such as “Rachel Feinstein: The Miami Years,” “assume vivid astro focus: XI,” “(LA) HORDE: Heureux sous son ombre,” and “Ulla von Brandenberg: In Dialogue and Performing Perspectives: A Collection in Dialogue,” VIP attendees dressed from head to toe in art-inspired garments. The vivacious spring event supported vital exhibitions and educational programs at the internationally renowned museum.

On this momentous occasion, The Bass partnered with forward-thinking app üüps, which is a thrilling new platform for planning your perfect party attire—and making sure other attendees aren’t duplicating the fierce look. In futuristic fashion, one is able to preview the garments that other guests are thinking of donning, allowing for the utmost certainty when attending distinguished events on the yearly arts calendar.

On this stylish note, the evening bestowed the Best ARTprize upon the most imaginatively dressed guest. Leading fashion stylist Elyze Held and The Shop Curator Angie Ferrer Pirán acted as knowing judges, granting the enchanting award to Luis Najera and Corey Valestra. 2nd and 3rd place prizes went to Avra Hart, Caitlin Collins, Julia Spillman-Gover, and Leemor Rhodes Carv for their magnificent and charming ensembles.

The night of marvelous art and culture was truly one to remember, with enveloping activations like “Light Bridge Refraction” within the Lindemann Family Courtyard. Skillfully designed by Michelle M. Collins and Christien Methot, in collaboration with A Non-Agency® and Design One Lighting, the digital art spectacle was a boundary-breaking exploration of space, light, and architecture for all in attendance. In addition, visionary artist Mikihumo sparked new perspectives in the Trudy and Paul Cejas Gallery with an ethereal video and light installation. Further, Spectacle Entertainment brought the vivacity of pop-up dancers, while DJs Benton & Steve of Dale Zine Radio kept the atmosphere sky-high.

The Bass offered the Miami glitterati an exquisite array of lush cocktails and culinary specialties. Devoted museum partner Dry Farm Wines brought a selection of decadent, fine wines, while H&C Collective provided delightful non-alcoholic options and delicious cuisine. The one and only Le Basque fully embraced the celebratory evening with heavenly decor, and the unforgettable dessert station invoked Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s iconic wrapped object series. The legendary Perrier bestowed perfect moments of bubbly hydration, and Van Gogh Vodka set the festive night aglow with pleasing craft cocktails.
