The Summer EDITION Brings Its Signature Cultural Residency to Montauk

Following its Ibiza debut last summer, The Summer EDITION arrives in Montauk for a two-day celebration of gastronomy, music, wellness, and photography at Crow's Nest and The Montauk EDITION.

This weekend, July 24–25, The Summer EDITION returns for its second installment, transforming Crow’s Nest into a cultural residency celebrating food, music, wellness, and photography in partnership with American Express.

Curated exclusively for American Express Platinum Card® and Centurion® Members through the Premium Events Collection™, the two-day program brings together acclaimed chefs, live performances, wellness experiences, and photography under EDITION Hotels‘ signature approach to contemporary luxury.

“Following the inaugural Summer EDITION at the iconic El Silencio in Ibiza, this second installment now arrives at the equally iconic Crow’s Nest, transporting our distinctive balance of leisure, energy, and cultural relevance to another one of the most sought-after summer settings,” says George Fleck, Senior Vice President and Global Brand Leader, EDITION.

“Through the American Express Premium Events Collection, we’re always looking for impactful ways to bring together world-class dining, culture, wellness, and entertainment in unforgettable settings that reflect our Card Members’ passions,” adds Kristina Hunt, Vice President, Enterprise Events and Experiences at American Express.

The Summer EDITION first launched with El Silencio at The Ibiza EDITION, transforming the hotel’s pool deck overlooking Cala Molí into a two-week cultural retreat centered on wellness, design, gastronomy, and curated experiences. Like every EDITION property, the series adapts to the character of its location, reflecting local culture through hospitality and programming.

Gastronomy Takes Center Stage

One of the weekend’s highlights is an intimate dinner pairing live music with a tasting menu by Chef Mauro Colagreco, Chef Partner of The Lake Como EDITION and the visionary behind the three-Michelin-starred Mirazur.

Created specifically for Montauk, Colagreco’s menu celebrates the East End’s seasonal bounty through his Argentine-Italian perspective. Tomatoes, peaches, burrata, lobster, Chilean sea bass, citrus, and herbs come together in a menu inspired by the region’s peak summer harvest.

As guests dine overlooking Lake Montauk at Crow’s Nest, Grammy Award-winning producer, trumpeter, vocalist, and bandleader Brian Newman will perform live, creating an evening where music and cuisine unfold against one of Montauk’s signature sunset backdrops.

Newman has previously performed at EDITION properties including Riviera Maya at Kanai, Miami Beach, Hollywood, and Barcelona, bringing performances inspired by each destination’s atmosphere and rhythm. Throughout the evening, photographer Ben Watts will document both the performances and the guests experiencing them.

Photographer Ben Watts, who has called Montauk home since 1995, leads the artistic programming with a curated exhibition drawn from his decades-long archive of East End imagery.

Displayed throughout the residency, the photographs capture the quieter side of Montauk—its beaches, light, and slower rhythms—while new original imagery created during the weekend becomes part of the evolving Summer EDITION archive.

“On this next stop of our global series of pop-up events, EDITION serves as a cultural meeting point for like-minded communities to connect with design, culture, wellness, and culinary experiences along the Hamptons’ sun-drenched coastlines,” says Fleck.

Wellness and Daytime Experiences

For East End residents and weekend visitors alike, daytime programming includes fitness classes with Barry’s, sound healing and ice bath plunges from Remedy Place, and skincare experiences by Augustinus Bader.

Guests can also linger over long lunches at Crow’s Nest, enjoying its indoor-outdoor dining spaces and secluded stretch along Lake Montauk. The relaxed daytime atmosphere reflects the spirit of The Summer EDITION itself—an invitation to slow down, embrace the season, and savor the simple pleasures of summer.

Reservations for the dinner experience are available HERE, while tickets for the daytime programming can be booked HERE.
