Since 2008, The Surf Lodge has promised guests and visitors an unforgettable time, from its newly-opened culinary experience Casa Sereña to hosting performers including the likes of John Legend, Duke Dumont, Willie Nelson, Bob Moses, Kate Hudson, and more. This summer, The Surf Lodge looks to French joie de vivre, ushering its Hamptons guests to “A Day in Saint-Tropez,” with an immersive brunch experience.
Le Jardinier Hits Montauk
Under the dangling lights of The Surf Lodge, guests dined al fresco with the exquisite flavors of restaurant Le Jardinier, a member of global hospitality group The Bastion Collection. The restaurant—which hosts four iconic locations in New York, Miami, Houston, and Geneva—embraces the refined elegance of French culinary art, transporting guests to the French Riviera with every bite.
At The Surf Lodge, the event’s menu was the product of a collaboration between Michelin-starred Executive Chef Andrew Ayala, Executive Pastry Chef Salvatore Martone, and Chef de Cuisine Felipe Botero from Le Jardinier Houston. The three expert gastronomers presented a menu that celebrated the beauty of the Hamptons’ seasonal ingredients, capturing the richness of the land. Dishes included salad “Niçoise,” grilled Montauk bass, and roasted peach and almond crumble.
A Rosé Renaissance
In addition to its Tropezian brunch, The Surf Lodge transported the delicacy of French wine to its Montauk hotel. The hotel and restaurant invited guests to pair their menu with the flavors of Château d’Esclans Whispering Angel Rosé. The French vineyard, nestled in the dazzling heart of Provence, northeast of Saint-Tropez, is celebrated for its iconic rosé, a fitting pairing for The Surf Lodge’s Tropezian brunch.
Of course, a day in Saint-Tropez cannot be complete without music and dancing. This Tropezian code matched exactly with the spirit of the lively hotel, as in authentic Surf Lodge fashion, the music, décor, and service was thoughtfully curated to embody the essence of the finest beach clubs along the Côte d’Azur, providing a Saint-Tropez getaway out East.
