Tiffany Reveals Jean-Michel Basquiat Holiday Advent Calendar

After its first-ever public appearance in Tiffany & Co.’s ABOUT LOVE campaign alongside Beyoncé and Jay-Z, Jean-Michel Basquiat’s 1982 work Equals Pi has become the backdrop for the jeweler’s 2021 holiday advent calendar. Available now, the advent calendar is detailed with Basquiat-inspired illustrations and cupboards filled with Tiffany pieces and objects. Its materials are also in homage to the artist, who was known for using unconventional mediums as his canvas.

Embracing its legacy rooted in celebrating art and cultural movements in New York City, Tiffany & Co. has announced a partnership with Free Arts NYC, to whom they will donate $250,000 of profits from the 2021 advent calendar in support of programming, giving children from underserved communities in New York City greater exposure to creative arts. The release also comes at the beginning of Tiffany & Co.’s scholarship, “About Love,” that will provide support for students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities with the mission of making visual art more accessible.
