On September 11, at New York City’s trendy Café Henri, we celebrated TOME’s fifth anniversary with MAC Cosmetics, Moёt & Chandon, and of course a little cake, music, and party favors, too.
Welcoming guests were metallic streamers and upbeat music by special guest DJs Lady Miss Kier (Dee-Lite) and Kitty Cash. A cool-down station in the center of the room was set up with fun handheld fans—personalized to our liking in hot pink paint. After toasts were given to the Australian founders, Ramon Martin and Ryan Lobo, special guest and comedic icon Sandra Bernhard helped present a grandiose shimmering cake in the shape of a “5” to the dynamic duo.

“We want to thank all of you for being here tonight to celebrate five years with us—and with the original Hurricane Sandy,” said Lobo. “We want to thank Lauren Hutton, who was the original inspiration for the very first collection of TOME, and we want to thank all of the women who are here—and a couple of men as well—who inspire what we do, the women who make our clothes, and the women who wear our clothes.”
Some of those women in attendance, alongside Hutton, included artist and collaborator Patricia Cronin, actress Marisa Tomei, Urban Bush Babes sisters TK and Cipriana Quann, actress Jessica Lowndes, and dancer Larsen Thompson. After a few Polaroid pictures and pieces of can’t-resist funfetti cake, it was time to wrap up the festive night with one last Moёt Mini, joining in to say, “Cheers to five years, and the next five to come!”
