Alexander Gorlizki is the latest artist to design for Swatch‘s Art Special Collection. His “Sliding Doors” watch features Jali-inspired patterns traditionally found in Indian ornamental screens. After school, Gorlizki spent a good deal of time in India, learning the craft of miniature painting. In the video above, the artist shares how his practice is informed by his travels, drawing, and cycling around New York, where he is now based.
