Last night at Nautilus, a SIXTY Hotel in Miami, we celebrated Vilebrequin’s newest print by American painter Donald Sultan. In the hotel’s spacious backyard, guests like Alexandre Assouline, Eugenio Rerebaudengo, Carlos A. Rivera, Lawrence Van Hagen, Dmitry Komis, Jason Pomeranc, and Young Paris joined the Whitewall team and Vilebrequin’s CEO Roland Herlory for Chateâu d’Escleans rosé by the pool, polaroid pictures, Bai juice, and light bites.
For over than 40 years, Vilebrequin has created stylish swimwear with colorful patterns, producing more than 30 prints in Paris every season. The brand is also now notably known for its artistic collaborations, with previous partnerships for new prints beginning in 2015 with Massimo Vitali, continuing with The Rolling Stones, Alex Israel, and Karl Lagerfeld. This year, it welcomes a brand new print, featuring Sultan’s iconic bright red poppies, and a special signature by the artist. At the event, guests caught sight of it, and learned more from Whitewaller Miami, placed on tables and in tents, featuring an in-depth interview with Herlory.
On our way out, we caught sight of a custom car by Moke adorned in the new Vilebrequin print, and grabbed a custom tote—perfect for the summer, and art week in Miami, ahead.
