The sun was shining over sculptor Mia Fonssagrives-Solow’s studio in East Hampton last Saturday as Whitewall and Eric Firestone Gallery celebrated the artist and the launch of the magazine’s summer 2015 Design Issue in style. Fonssagrives-Solow graciously opened her studio space to a select group of lucky guests to mingle and enjoy sunset cocktails on the eve of the Fourth of July.
The event was held in honor of Fonssagrives-Solow and interior designer Juan Pablo Molyneux, both featured in Whitewall’s summer issue. Those in attendance had the rare opportunity to see the sculptor’s work space, home to dozens of sculptures and works in progress. Guests included Italian photographer Priscilla Rattazzi, app developer Nicholas Callaway, artist KAWS, and actor Michael Sheets. Surrounded by laughter, smiles, and one-of-a-kind works the jubilant gathering came to a close as the sun set over the Hamptons.
