In 2014 two French art collectors, Nicolas Libert and Emmanuel Renoird, founded this one-of-a-kind curated store and gallery. The shop features an eclectic array of timeless contemporary pieces, including art, high fashion, accessories, fragrance, and design items.

Arcana: Books on the Arts
In Culver City since 1984, Arcana: Books on the Arts has specialized in new, rare, and out-of-print books, catalogues, and ephemera on 20th- and 21st-century photography, art, design, architecture, fashion, and cinema. With more than 100,000 exclusive items, the store welcomes visitors to a Mecca of curiosities.

MAOR – The Space
After much success with his first accessories brand, jewelry designer Maor Cohen opened in 2018 MAOR – The Space, a new immersive retail luxury experience to provide visitors and Californians alike with a unisex fine jewelry line meant to last a lifetime. MAOR – The Space was designed entirely by Cohen to reflect the brand’s philosophy, offering special guests a sense of exploration while they discover unique gold and diamond pieces.
Just One Eye
Drawing guests into a curated space full of art, fashion, jewelry, and design objects, Just One Eye is a gem in Los Angeles, located in a Howard Hughes–designed landmark building. The shop fosters creative relationships between artists and designers, allowing for its gallery and website to launch exclusive collaborations. For co-founder Paolo Russo, it’s all about a luxurious, inspiring environment.

Tortoise General Store
Timeless Japanese home goods can be found at Tortoise General Store—a gallery-meets-boutique dedicated to improving daily life with a “slow and steady” philosophy. The store also serves as a gallery shop, featuring furniture, art, vintage pieces, and one-of-a-kind finds.

Apparatus Los Angeles
In November 2018 the New York–based design studio Apparatus opened a showroom in Los Angeles. For their third location, and first time out West, co-founders Gabriel Hendifar and Jeremy Anderson are renewing some creative energy. The space’s architectural design and palette—which is informed by the art of de Chirico—welcomes guests to lines of furniture, lighting, and objects, in addition to works from the by JF Chen collection and from artists Robert Moreland and Amir Nikravan.
