This week in New York, Mercedes-Maybach debuted its dazzling new Night Series with a festive pop-up clubhouse at a private residence in Greenwich Village. Daniel Lescow, Head of Mercedes-Maybach, and Dimitris Psillakis, CEO of Mercedes-Benz USA, hosted VIP guests such as Yara Shahidi, King Combs, Nigel Sylvester, Brittany Xavier, and Greg Yuna, in the sleek space, surrounded by the brand’s beaming works of art.
Three brand new designs—the inaugural electric model, the EQS SUV, the S-Class, and the GLS—share elements of style, power, and sustainability. Luminous embellishments of dark chrome, rose gold, and herringbone interior meet a glossy, hypnotic wheel design and jewel-cut aesthetics in both a nod to the brand’s timeless luxury and a celebration of its cutting-edge, youthful spirit.
“Night Series is the most progressive Maybach design package—it’s our already well-known supreme aesthetics, heightened with exquisite, darkened motifs,” explained Gorden Wagener, Chief Design Officer of Mercedes-Benz Group AG. “Our goal was to create an exciting new style, offering a playful sense of rebellion that is unexpected to what you usually see in a Mercedes-Maybach.”
Upon entering each Night Series vehicle, the “black labels and backlights” slogan welcomes riders in a dreamlike animated user interface. The alluring version of the brand’s first electric vehicle, premiered to the world this past April, features a grille panel of glistening pinstripes, side windows framed in 3D edging, and a comprehensive sporty, aerodynamic design. Interior vegetable-tanned leather in black pearl or crystal white supremely compliments exterior paint finishes of MANUFAKTUR diamond white bright, and the singular combination of obsidian black and Mojave silver.
“The Mercedes-Maybach brand continues to strongly resonate with global connoisseurs,” added Michael Schiebe, CEO of Mercedes-AMG GmbH and Head of Business Units Mercedes-Benz G-Class & Mercedes-Maybach. “We are proud to offer a unique automotive experience that captures the best of tradition and progression, through products that are aligned with trend developments and cultural topics.”
The S-Class Night Series edition is a sporty serenade in an elongated silhouette, with unique tailpipe trims of dark chrome and black, and a two-tone paint finish option of eye-catching onyx black and Mojave silver. The complimentary interior boasts an offering of Black pearl nappa leather with a utopian mother-of-pearl effect. In an equally stunning presentation, the GLS juxtaposes the Mercedes star on the vehicle’s hood with the iconic Maybach pattern on 23-inch wheels, topped off with a grand interior of silver pilasters and Black pearl accents. Alongside the innovative designs, partner MAYBACH Icons of Luxury prepares to launch must-have eyewear, sneakers, and bags to complement the unparalleled Night Series collection.
“The Mercedes-Maybach brand goes beyond the product, which is why it is so important to create experiences and options that fit our customers’ status and personal style,” said Daniel Lescow, Head of Mercedes-Maybach at Mercedes-Benz Group AG. “Night Series is the next step in offering a true luxury, tailored experience targeted at a new audience, but simultaneously responding to current customers’ desires.”
