On September 6, New Yorkers got the shopping fix they had been waiting for with opening of 10 Corso Como—including us. We traveled down to the Seaport District to see its unveiling at the Fulton Market Building, which presented a new 28,000-square-foot space filled with an array of unique offerings of fashion, design, and culinary treats.

The all-day event presented special guests with a beautiful blend of music, art, cuisine, and culture, culminating in an unforgettable VIP dinner hosted by founder Carla Sozzani and CEO of The Howard Hughes Corporation, David Weinreb, at the 10 Corso Como Restaurant.

Originally founded in Milan in 1991 by former fashion editor, publisher, and gallerist Carla Sozzani, 10 Corso Como stemmed from a retail concept store, later creating a cultural change for the way shopping is experienced.

“I am very excited to introduce 10 Corso Como to New York. Almost 30 years after we opened in Milan, to be a part of such an inspiring resurgence in one of the city’s oldest artistic and commercial neighborhoods is a dream,” said Sozzani.

Wandering through the new concept store’s space, we explored some of the exquisite new corners, such as displays for art, fashion, and design, as well as the garden and the gallery space in the back.

Special for the inaugural space, we caught sight of lighting designer Michael Anastassiades’ hanging Arrangements lights presented by FLOS, as well as an exhibition dedicated to the work of photographer Helmut Newton entitled “Private Property.”
