Graziano Arici: Now is the Winter of Our Discontent

The Musée Réattu is presenting the work of photographer Graziano Arici, in the exhibition entitled “Now is the Winter of our Discontent” on view through October 3.

June 12, 2021 - October 3, 2021

The Musée Réattu is presenting the work of photographer Graziano Arici, in the exhibition entitled “Now is the Winter of Our Discontent” on view through October 3.

Since the beginning of his career in 1979, the Venice-born photographer has developed a body of personal work, which is being exhibited today for the first time. “Now is the Winter of Our Discontent” borrows from the first sentence of the monologue from Shakespeare’s Richard III, and presents a selection of more than 400 images from 9 series, taken between 1979 and 2020.

Advocating the approach of the American photographer Walker Evans, Graziano Arici has traveled around the world throughout his career to capture the state of the world around him. He has also refined his photographic practices to emphasize light and contrasts in his images.
