Unfolding in two parts, the first installation of Gaetano Pesce’s “My Dear Mountains” spans more than half a century’s work by the multidisciplinary creative. Working in nearly every medium from drawing to sculptures to furniture design and beyond, the varied nature of Pesce’s vibrant artistic practice comes to light in this exhibition at the Aspen Art Museum (open through October 9), where his many creations come together to create a unique environment. In addition to works like the 1968 Yetti armchair drawing and new Leaf Cabinets made especially for the exhibition, Pesce also imagined his first-ever building facade, which saw the exterior of the museum transformed with a site-specific installation.
