Bivins Gallery’s “Kindness Not Cancelled” looks at the change and positivity art can bring, even on the most challenging days. Asking viewers to consider the social and historical context of artworks, the show features creations by names like Russell Young, Maria De Campos, Patrick Rubinstein, and WRDSMTH.
Titled “I Carry This Land With Me,” Gallery 12.26’s presentation of the Dallas-based artist Karla García features a series of terra cotta floor sculptures and works on paper.
Liu Xiaodong’s “Borders” is the result of two research trips conducted along the U.S. to Mexico border in 2019, featuring a series of paintings, videos, and diary entries.
