Not far from Detroit is Troy, Michigan—a location that will soon host a new shopping destination for Hermès. Located in Somerset Collection, the upcoming space is just over 3,000 square feet, and will host all of the luxury house’s métiers. Designed entirely by the Parisian architecture firm RDAI, it will first greet guests to a façade made of honed St. Clair stone. Upon entering, visitors can traverse American oak wooden floors and bespoke floors, moving through the store’s separate spaces. Demarcated by three granite monoliths and a wooden grid displaying the latest silk collection, the store also features separate alcoves around its interior that evoke unique ambiances.
