Frieze LA 2024

On February 29 in Los Angeles, the much-anticipated fifth edition of Frieze LA will be unveiled once again at the Santa Monica Airport, with singular presentations from more than 95 exhibitors and major institutions on display through March 3. With long-standing partnership alongside Deutsche Bank, the fair’s newly revisioned structure, created by architectural studio WHY’s Kulapat Yantrasast, further develops the trademark tent and reveals the adjoining outdoor space as an opportunity for festive connection with the international art community.

Distinguished international galleries such as David ZwirnerHauser & WirthGagosianGallery Hyundai, OMRWhite CubeSprüth Magers, and Gladstone join LA-based pioneers including Night GalleryDavid Kordansky GalleryAnat EbgiFrançois Ghebaly, Various Small Fires, and L.A. Louver in the fair’s sweeping main section. 13 stellar first time participants, from Silverlens of Manila, to MadeInGallery and Bank of Shanghai, join exhibitors from over 21 countries across the globe.

Legendary museums within the city such as LACMAGettyThe BroadHammer Museum, and The Museum of Contemporary Art, will host dynamic exhibitions and events for visitors throughout the run of the fair. Meanwhile, Art Production Fund’s “Set Seen” presentation of larger-than-life works by illustrious artists like Derek FordjourSharif FarragCynthia Talmadge, and Pippa Garner, wil pay opulent homage to Hollywood’s golden footprint in Los Angeles and a prismatic history of set design—beautifully shining light on the deft veiling of the Douglas Aircraft Company at Santa Monica Airport by skilled set designers during WWII.
