Grand Hotel Tremezzo

Grand Hotel Tremezzo

The family-owned jewel of Lake Como, Grand Hotel Tremezzo, shines from the edge of the region’s iconic waterway in an elegant Art Nouveau palazzo. With over a century of history as Lake Como’s first hotel, the five-star property first greets guests to a gorgeously lush entryway surrounded by a private park. Behind the renowned facade, an oasis of hospitality awaits. Inside, 84 guest rooms and 19 suites unfold, embracing spectacular views of Lake Como and the Grigne Mountains behind it. Each space, sophisticatedly decorated with local and international materials, reveals warm colors, textures, and time-shaped decor—from leather-wrapped chests and ceramic vases to regal velvet furniture and more.

For food and beverage aficionados, fine gastronomy and mixology are found at Grand Hotel Tremezzo’s five restaurantsLa Terrazza Gualtiero Marchesi, L’Escale Trattoria & Wine Bar, Da Giacomo al Lago, T Pizza, and T Bar. For those looking for an intimate experience, Dimmidisì is available for an exclusive opportunity to dine alone in the most romantic spots of the hotel. At each, sumptuous flavors of local, fine, and classic fare are revealed through unforgettable plates and cocktails, including gold leaf-topped risotto, veal cutlets, Caprese salads, Negronis, Bellinis, Aperol Spritzes, and more.

Beyond the bites, unforgettable opportunities to relax are offered through three swimming pools—one floating atop the lake, one inside, and one located behind the property—and at T Spa. Here, a relaxation room adorned with tile flooring, globe lighting, and luxurious couches joins private treatment rooms, a sauna, a steam room, and more. Outside, guests are encouraged to explore the rest of Lago di Como in two of the Venetian motor boats at T Marina.

Whitewaller recommends: Shopping the hotel’s Sense of Lake collection, filled with luxury accessories, clothing and homeware.
