Franklin Canyon is a natural oasis off the beaten path, but still very much close enough to get back before office hours.
BEST OFF-THE-BEATEN-PATH PLACE TO SEE ART
The artist's studio! Collectors and enthusiasts alike would be surprised at how personal, fulfilling, and inspiring it is for both the viewer and the artist to discuss and see their work in person. Highly recommend you reach out to your favorites and try to schedule some time.
FAVORITE SPOT IN THE CITY TO FIND INSPIRATION
During quarantine, I've found a lot of peace in my garden, growing fruits and veggies. Being still has given a lot of time for reflection. I think the city needed that as a whole. Arcana, an art-oriented bookstore located in Culver City, is also a great place to let the mind wander. I still appreciate Melrose Place and the mix of traditional luxury and internet-friendly brands side by side. I think it's one of the prettiest streets in L.A. and love the energy Apartment by The Line, APC, and Alfred bring to the high-end street. Marvin, a little French bistro, for the vibe and phenomenal food. Sushi Tama for the quality! The chef worked in the Japanese fish market for ten years before opening this spot in the middle of COVID. Kudos to anyone with that kind of experience and gumption.
