Through August 22, Hauser & Wirth’s Los Angeles space is presenting “In Focus: LA Artists,” featuring works by 12 acclaimed artists who call the city home. Including names like Larry Bell, Charles Gaines, Mark Bradford, and the late artists Luchita Hurtado and Mike Kelley, the show’s nearly 30 artworks will focus on areas like groundbreaking techniques and intergenerational relationships between the artists who created them. Viewers can expect to find highlights like the West Coast debut of Bradford’s 2020 Untitled, Kelley’s 2008 multimedia sculpture Party Girl, and Jason Rhoades’s 90s irreverent sculptures.
Gabriela Ruiz’s “Futurition” takes viewers inside the mind of the artist through a series of sculptural paintings, video works, and soundscapes.
OCHI’s exhibition of Brian Wills debuts 12 new wall-hanging works that have been placed strategically throughout the gallery.
Raqib Shaw’s “Tales from an Urban Garden” comprises a series of works inspired by memories of his mother’s garden.
