ZⓈONAMACO 2020

Katy Donoghue

6 February 2020

ZONAMACO returns to Mexico City, this year hosting four fairs concurrently in the Centro Citibanamex for the first time. Presenting historic modern art and contemporary works by globally renowned artists, ZONAMACO México Arte Contemporáneo returns for its 17th year. Celebrating its 10th anniversary is ZONAMACO Diseño, which focuses on design, decorative objects, and limited editions and historic pieces. And returning for the fifth and sixth years respectively, are ZONAMACO Foto and ZONAMACO Salón, which features photography and individual projects by gallery-represented artists respectively.

Fairgoers should look out for new programming like Foro, a sector highlighting mid-career galleries, curated by Anna Goetz. Other notables include the Conference program of talks with artists and names from the art world like Kate Fowle, Olaf Breuning, Magalí Arriola, Zoë Ryan, and William J. Simmons, and the roster of accompanying exhibitions around the city.

Presenters across all four fairs this year include galleries from three continents and 26 countries, like Cassina Projects, FELD + HAUS, Art Agency, Arróniz, Labor, Gaga, Lisson Gallery, Zilberman, Triangle, Bendana Pinel Art Contemporain, IK Projects, Masterworks Fine Art, Smith Davidson Gallery, Galería Servando, Galería Casa Cuadrada, Galerie Toun, and Safra Antigüedades.
