“Heat Transfer,” an exhibition of new paintings and drawings by Bhakti Baxter is on view at Nina Johnson in Miami through July 31. In this work, Baxter continues his exploration of materiality and natural systems, allowing the two to react on canvas. The result is a series of prismatic, organic, and globular abstract forms depicted in both large- and small-scale.
