Missoni has debuted a series of special installations this week in Milan, coinciding with the run of Salone del Mobile and Design Week. First, the fashion house has transformed its showroom at via Solferino 9 with a whimsical environment based on its instantly-recognizable colorful zigzags. Here, the iconic patterns create a surreal space inhabited by a series of huge fabric animals—like an enormous chevron bunny rabbit or a teddy bear with multicolored stripes—which are also imagined in the signature prints. And at the Università Statale, coinciding with the Interni Design Re-Generation exhibit, passersby main courtyard will come across two installations focused on Missoni Home’s outdoor home, which is suggestive of the presentation indoors.
