Tom Dixon: TWENTY

British designer of extraordinary objects, Tom Dixon, celebrates the brand’s 20th anniversary with the debut of TWENTY, his largest exhibition to date, during Salone del Mobile. Hosted at Palazzo Serbelloni, a neoclassical palace, the presentation combines Dixon’s passion for longevity in his designs and his inherent curiosity with materiality. TWENTY delves into the trailblazing brand’s archives to showcase a series of timeless products while reflecting on new approaches to sustainable design. On display will be a diverse range of familiar and fresh objects, including a modernized WINGBACK Chair, SPRING Fan Lamp, BEAT chandelier, futuristic MELT lamp with dichroic filter, inflatable BIRD Chair, recycled S-Chair, CORK Mirror, MYCELIUM wall lamp and more.

Dixon said: “You will find us tucked away in an historic palazzo in the centre of Milan where the British auction institution Sotheby’s has its Italian headquarters. There could not have been a better platform to show TWENTY objects that explain some of the history, some of the processes of manufacture but also some of the new developments that describe the future of the brand. All of this coincides with Sotheby’s first Italian design sale, where the central position of Milan as the global capital for creativity is reaffirmed.”
