New Museum Triennial: Soft Water Hard Stone

New Museum’s fifth Triennial, “Soft Water Hard Stone” takes its name from the Brazilian proverb on perseverance and resilience, which states that soft water may bore a hole into hard stone if it hits for long enough. Featuring a list of 40 international artists and collectives, the Triennial acknowledges this defined moment of change in the world, presenting a series of works that center states of transformation and address our necessary relationship with the natural world.
