For the occasion of New York City’s 2022 Art Week, Independent Art Fair will return to Spring Studios from May 6—8 with an invitation-only preview on May 5. The 13th edition of the fair welcomes around 200 international presenters bringing a range of solo and group exhibitions, which are also accessible through an online iteration through May 31.
Fairgoers should look out for presentations like Adams and Ollman finding color as a common thread between the works of Joan Nelson and Jessica Hutchins; Helena Anrather with the work of photographer Olivia Reavey and sculptor Oren Pinhassi; and the London-based artists Gina Fischli and Tenant of Culture presented by Soft Opening. Kerry Schuss Gallery will be showing work by Alice Mackler, Nicolas Party is presented by RxArt, MAGENTA PLAINS will be bringing the work of Jennifer Bolande, and Karma is presenting a group show featuring Nathaniel Oliver, Reggie Burrows Hodges, Andrew Cranston, and Ulala Imai.
Other galleries participating in the 2022 edition of the fair will include names like Night Gallery, Mrs., A Gentil Carioca, Kasmin, Alison Jacques, Allouche Benais Gallery, The approach, Galerie Hubert Winter, Canada, Sultana, Morán Morán, and Nina Johnson.
Returning to the Javits Center from September 9—11, The Armory Show’s 2022 edition will welcome nearly 250 galleries from around 30 countries.
