TEFAF New York 2022

Returning to New York City’s Park Avenue Armory for the first time since the pandemic, TEFAF will be open to the public from May 6—10, with an online edition launching on May 5. The fair will feature 91 leading art spaces from across the world bringing a range of fine art, antiques, design, and contemporary art, organized in specially-curated presentations. Attendees can also expect to find programming in the Talks and Meet the Experts sectors happening consecutively.

Presenters at the fair’s 8th edition include the New York-based spaces like Gladstone Gallery, David Zwirner, Kasmin, Sean Kelly, Gagosian, Lehmann Maupin, R & Company, Thaddaeus Ropac, and Van de Weghe. From London, you’ll find Thomas Gibson Fine Art, Waddington Custot, Offer Waterman, Lisson Gallery, Ariadne, and Ben Brown Fine Arts, while those representing Paris include spaces like Carpenters Workshop Gallery, Galerie Bernard Dulon Galerie Chenel, and Galerie kreo. Fairgoers will also find Bologna’s Galleria d’Arte Maggiore g.a.m., Mayoral from Barcelona, Galerie Thomas of Munich, Berlin’s neugerriemschneider, and Gallery Hyundai, who is visiting from Seoul.

Taking place in the armory’s Veterans Room, you’ll want to look out for talks like The Future of Art Fairs and The Dynamics of Art Collecting Today, while the Meet the Experts series will debut programming like Matisse and the Embodiment of Luxurious Sensuality, Yeesookyung’s Translated Vases: Shattered, Fused, Revived, and other interactive conversations.
