The first major U.S. exhibition of the late Niki de Saint Phalle, “Structures for Life” encompasses more than 200 works highlighting the artist’s creative approach to pressing social issues. Visitors at MoMA PS1 will experience the artist’s singular way of inhabiting the world, which shows through in her colorful palette and playful visual language. The works on view include de Saint Phalle’s large scale Nanas sculptures, as well as creations utilizing a range of mediums and disciplines, including architecture, prints, clothing, and jewelry.
