From October 10—16 in Berkeley Square, PAD London returns in-person after two years of virtual presentations. Highlighting the best of contemporary and 20th-century design, the fair’s 14th edition includes presentations across mediums like furniture, jewelry, and decorative arts, diving into areas of focus like iconic designs, emerging creatives, innovations in materials and sustainability, design embracing heritage, conversations between past and present design, and more.
Offering dialogues between distinctive periods and disciplines, attendees will find presentations like Nancy Gabriel and Guillaume Excoffier’s Galerie Gabriel et Guillaume pairing the work of Beirut-based studios Maria Group and Spock Design with Brazilian-made furniture from the 1950s; Nilufar’s conversation between 1960s furniture and the more recent work of David/Nicolas and Xavier Lust; and a celebration of Eclecticism throughout the years by Dimoregallery. Exhibitors focused on sustainability will include those like Sarah Myerscough Gallery with the industrial designer Fernando Laposse, the work of the design duo ad hoc and a PET plastic bottle chandelier by Thierry Jeannot presented by Ammann // Gallery, and Zavier Wopng’s use of reclaimed foam, on view with Priveekollektie.
Spanning several other areas of focus, the fair’s 2022 edition will also feature a new installation of wall-mounted glass from Vezzini and Chen on view with Adrian Sassoon, Spazio Nobile highlighting the techniques of Belva Silva, Charles Zana’s new line of furniture, Francis Sultana’s new “Chatterley” collectionpresented by David Gill Gallery, wearable art from Elisabetta Cipriani, and much more.
