Diane Dal-Pra: Remaining Parts

Katy Donoghue

20 October 2022

Galerie Derouillon presents “Remaining Parts,” a new solo show by artist Diane Dal-Pra. In serene and hypnotic oil paintings on linen, Dal-Pra peels back layers of intimacy, offering raw, feminine insight into the manners and practices of our daily lives. In soft blues, creams, and browns, poetic relationships with objects and hushed, introspective moments are made deeply sensorial and immersive through her intricate artworks. Time evades meaning and the atmosphere is quieted, sometimes ambivalent, and deceptively simple. The artist reveals silence in all its glory: peaceful, intense, and enveloping.
