Paris Internationale 2021

Katy Donoghue

18 October 2021

Presented with support from Fondation d’enterprise Galeries Lafayette and Métier, the 7th edition of Paris Internationale will return from October 20—24, with a VIP preview on October 19. Taking place at 186 avenue Victor Hugo, the fair will welcome more than 30 international galleries for in-person presentations, with either solo or duo booths, all accessible through the fair’s first online viewing room.

Those returning may recognize longstanding exhibitors like the London-based greengrassi, KOW from Berlin, Glasgow’s Kendall Koppe, Misako & Rosen of Tokyo, Florence’s Veda, and Stereo from Warsaw. Other names to look out for include first-timers Piedras, Grey Noise, Ginsberg Galeria, and Crisis, along with those like Good Weather, Hot Wheels, Three Star Books, Wilfried Lentz, and Iragui. Within these exhibitions, fairgoers will find shows like Gallery Artbeat sharing work by Nika Kutateladze and Salome Chigilashvili, Ciaccia Levi with Sean Townley’s “Capitol Stones” and the multimedia work of Francesco Gennari, and Crevecoeur presenting a site-specific presentation of Ad Minolti and Naoki Sutter-Shudo.

Meanwhile, a schedule of talks will discuss tactics of togetherness while imagining new futures through the gaze of individuals like the director of Palais de Lomé, Togo, Sonia Lawson, Lucia Casani, who is the director of Madrid’s La Casa Ensendida, and the director of Kunsthalle Tbilisi in Georgia, Irene Popiashvili. The fair will also host the Emerige Endowment Fund, exhibiting the winning artworks of young French artists who were chosen as recipients of the Emerige Revelation Grant.
