Highlighting the vibrant art scene of Italy from 1960—1975, MAMAC’s exhibition “Vita Nuova” is on view in Nice from May 14—October 2. Curated by Valérie Da Costa, viewers will find this look at the country’s Arte Povera artists unprecedented, exploring how the movement brought “new life” to the art world through the work of over 50 artists. With around 100 artworks in total, “Vita Nuova” is organized thematically in three sections (the body’s memory, reconstructing nature, and a society of images), encompassing work from names prominent and forgotten, including Tomato Binga, Irma Blank, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Carla Accardi, Renato Mambor, Luigi Ontani, Lucia Marcucci, and Federico Fellini.
