In the Cheongdam-dong neighborhood, Chanel’s Seoul flagship is at home in a sleek seven-story structure designed by Peter Marino, measuring just over 6,000 square feet. The maison’s codes and savoir-faire are evident before even entering the space, its towering all-black structure composed of dark lava stone and tinted black glass. Indoors, pristine architecture and chic interior design share the stage, with modern, elegant furnishings, a collection of contemporary art selected by Marino, and a palette of ivory and black flowing throughout the boutique’s open layout. Throughout the first three floors, patrons will find the house’s latest offerings in ready-to-wear, shoes, handbags, eyewear, fragrances, costume jewelry, and a special section for watches and high and fine jewelry offerings. The upper three stories contain private reception rooms on floor four and spaces for special exhibitions, events, and a terrace on the topmost two floors.
