“The Chastened Cowboy,” the fourth show by Will Cotton at Baldwin Gallery is on view through September 6. Selected portrait and landscape paintings bring to life Cotton’s fantastical world that juxtaposes patriarchy and cowboys in a sweet and dreamy context. Here, the artist hopes to challenge the viewer’s notions of beauty, perfection, and desire.
