On view at Honor Fraser is “Thin As Thorns: In These Thoughts In Us,’’ an exhibition exploring the use of Artificial Intelligence in the artistic practice of a dozen artists. Within each work in the exhibition, AI systems present the dual function of navigational tool and artistic medium, allowing the artists to take on the role of both creators and spectators. In the exhibition, viewers will find painterly images produced by algorithms, improvised collaborations between artists and their mechanical counterparts, and works exploring the important role AI plays in our daily lives. “Thin As Thorns: In These Thoughts In Us,’’ showcases works by Harold Cohen, Roman Verostko, Memo Akten, Joanne Hastie, Casey Reas, Allison Parrish, and more.
