Artist Angela Su represents Hong Kong with a new exhibition at the 59th International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia through November 27.

The Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC) and M+, Hong Kong’s global museum of contemporary visual culture, present “Angela Su: Arise, Hong Kong in Venice” as part of the Hong Kong Pavilion at the 59th International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia. Artist Su’s presentation is guest curated by Freya Chou, with consulting curator Ying Kwok. In her trademark weaving of fantasy and science, Su shapes modern interpretations of the individual’s resilience in an uncertain world. At the heart of the exhibition is an original video work, The Magnificent Levitation Act of Lauren O, made up of performance pieces by Su and discovered footage, the artist constructs an alternate reality for anti-war protest.
