Last week, the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) 2014 took place in Geneva. A premier event for the fine watch community, SIHH is a platform for the world’s leading luxury watch brands from the Richemont Group to showcase their newest timepieces. A Dreamy Timepiece Collection at Van Cleef & Arpels
It’s hard to consider the planets, stars, constellations, and astrological signs without the relation to time. Evoking voyages and dreams, Van Cleef & Arpels debuts an entirely new timepiece collection, known as Poetic Astronomy. The mechanics of time and the spheres are united in the Midnight Planétarium Poetic Complicatio timepiece, while unprecedented starry signs were unveiled in the Lady Arpels Zodiac collection. Only heavenly things can come from this collection with the passing of time.

Ornaments Of Worldly Beauty At Vacheron Constantin
Vacheron Constantin presented its latest Métiers d’Arts collection, Fabuleux Ornements, inspired by dreams of faraway places and the search for the open-minded world full of wonders where anything is possible. Four women’s watches have been born under intense artistic direction and care. Ten master artisans have taken turns in providing talented reinterpretations of Ottoman architecture, Chinese embroidery, Indian manuscripts and French lacework. These exquisite are equipped with an ethereal hand-engraved calibre echoing the precious dial ornamentation and enshrining a subtle blend of inner and outer beauty.
Each timepiece is bedecked with either guillochage, grand feu enamel, diamonds, pearls and mother-of-pearl, as well as engraving, glyptics and gemstone cloisonné effects, taking a piece of art to a whole new luxurious level.

Created in 1983 by François-Paul Journe, the watchmaker opened the very first boutique in 2003, set in the district of Omotesando, the St Germain des Prés of Tokyo, and ten years later successfully opened a tenth boutique in Beirut. As an homage to the 1983 original, F.P. Journe debuts an anniversary style, The 10 Years Anniversary Tourbillon, set in 18k rose gold, and visible through the sapphire back of the case. The lucky new owners of the ten one-of-a-kind watches were announced during the Geneva festival.
