Le Bon Nosh

17 December 2021

Located at The Irby residential development, Le Bon Nosh is a stunning café and market concept that roughly translates in name to “the good bite.” Created by Chef Forough Vakili, the 6,300-square-foot space presents a warm, charming atmosphere designed by the Los Angles-based design firm, Commune, and an ingredient-driven menu made with local farm ingredients. With the community in mind, Le Bon Nosh offers an array of seating and dining options, including indoor and outdoor seating and online ordering available for carryout. Once inside, guests are greeted by an open La Cornue range at its center, and a market with custom oak tables, a barista station, a bakery, and more. Natural light floods the space through floor-to-ceiling windows, while chandeliers and sconces by Woka accent the ceilings. Dialing back to Vakili’s Persian heritage, the space is also adorned with layered handwoven rugs, dyed saffron velvet drapes, blue and teal plaster from Portola Paints & Glazes, and a commissioned painting by BDDW’s Tyler Hays. Upstairs, a secret mezzanine awaits, featuring a private dining space with hand-painted wallpaper, built-in furniture, and a constellation of light fixtures by Michael Anastassiades light fixtures with star signs for Forough’s two children hidden above. Regardless of where visitors choose to relax, they can enjoy an all-day menu of bites—like Gruyere frittatas, seasonal tarts, soups, tartines, and salads—along with wine, craft beer, single-origin coffee, and tea.

Whitewaller recommends: Getting involved in Le Bon Nosh’s philanthropic meal program that addresses food insecurity in the Atlanta community. (The restaurant recently donated 600 meals to KIPP Schools.)
