The Parisian hotspot Silencio, originally designed by David Lynch with an outpost in Ibiza, adds New York City to its roster, with an aesthetic update by Harry Nuriev. The Hell’s Kitchen location is only a short walk from the former Studio 54 building and pays homage to that iconic spirit. Originally opened in 2011, the first Paris location was famously designed by director David Lynch and owes its namesake to the fictitious theater from Mulholland Drive (2001).
Silencio New York Designed by Harry Nuriev
The New York space, conceived by Crosby Studios’s Harry Nuriev, is swathed in a surreal floor-to-ceiling red, adorned with plush seating and gold details. The modern, sexy aesthetic is appropriately Lynchian but also true to Nuriev’s signature style. His work on the space manages to feel fresh and minimal yet still shrouded in the dreamlike quality for which the club is famous.
