Last Friday, Dior Homme unveiled a special collaboration with artist and cultural icon, Larry Clark. For the launch of the spring 2017 capsule collection of B06 sneakers, in stores this week, Kris Van Assche asked the downtown auteur to create a film.
Clark, who was photographed by Willy Vanderperre for a recent Dior Homme campaign, went back behind the camera to focus on skate culture in Paris for the film entitled A Larry Clark Project—Paris Session.
It was shot around the Paris Museum of Modern Art, the sidewalks of the city, and along the Seine, presenting a mix of traditional and contemporary, romantic and underground. The capsule collection of seven pairs of sneakers, designed by Van Assche, was clearly inspired by the youth art scene, with patterns of paint splatter, graffiti-like fades, and asphalt-looking finishes.
